MISS DIABETES EDUCATION HUB
Diabetes education people connect with.
The tool clinicians use to explain diabetes in real time.
Most diabetes education isn’t designed for how people actually live with diabetes. The Miss Diabetes Education Hub is a clinically aligned, visual education system that helps healthcare professionals deliver diabetes education people can recognise, engage with, and apply both in and beyond the clinic.
We’re currently selecting a small number of pilot partners for this first cohort.
WHAT IS IT?
Education that works for clinicians as well as people with diabetes.
Created by Janina Gaudin AKA Miss Diabetes – a globally recognised leader in visual diabetes communication, delivering clinically aligned education designed to reflect the real, everyday experience of living with diabetes, while meeting the needs of modern healthcare providers and organisations.
Easier to teach. Easier to understand. Easier to use.
Each module is designed for use during real consultations, combining visual teaching tools, a simple educator guide, and a patient-facing interactive workbook that continues learning after the session, with built-in insight through the VIDA Framework.

THE DIFFERENCE
Clinical information that makes people feel understood, not just informed.

THE MODULES
A different way to support diabetes consultations.
The Miss Diabetes Education Hub uses visual storytelling to reflect the real experience of living with diabetes. Each module is designed to be used during consultations, helping patients recognise what is happening in real time and supporting more open, effective conversations alongside clinical guidance.
01
Hypoglycaemia – Recognising and treating low blood glucose.
UK version aligned with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NG17) and Diabetes UK guidance. Covers symptoms, recognition, and the 15–20g fast-acting carbohydrate treatment approach with rechecking, alongside real-world decision-making in everyday situations.
02
Diabetes distress
UK version aligned with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NG17) and Diabetes UK recommendations on emotional wellbeing.
Designed to support conversations around the emotional impact of living with diabetes, help recognise signs of diabetes distress, and explore how this affects day to day self management in real world contexts. Supports clinicians in identifying when emotional burden may be impacting engagement, and provides a starting point for more open, patient led discussion.
03
Technology overwhelm and alarm fatigue
Addresses the growing burden of diabetes technology, including alarms, data overload, and disengagement. Supports conversations around how these experiences affect day to day self management and helps patients express challenges that are often unspoken. Aligned with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NG17) guidance on individualised care, supporting effective self management, and identifying barriers to the use of diabetes technologies.
THE VIDA FRAMEWORK
Visual Impact in Diabetes Action

WHO classifications
I’ve had diabetes for over 30 years, and have been doing visual communication about life with diabetes for the past 10 years. People with diabetes deserve to have engaging diabetes education that represents the lived experience of diabetes, and clinicians deserve to have resources that are accessible and easier for them to teach diabetes education. That’s what I created the Miss Diabetes Education Hub!
See how it works in practice!
